Sue Colton

Qualifications

Sue has an MA in HR Management, a Diploma in Personnel Management and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Sue has attained The British Psychological Society’s Level B Intermediate Plus certificate in Psychometric Testing, qualifying through ASE, SHL & OPP.  She is registered with The British Psychological Society and is also an Associate Member of the Association of Business Psychologists.

Experience

Sue created SJC Consulting in 2002, and offers services to both individual and corporate clients, surrounding the psychological contract and behaviour. This is taken her into the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.  Contracts have included for example, running assessment centres, undertaking psychometric testing, staff opinion surveys, HR policy design, reward and performance management programmes, as well as other organisational development projects.  

Before forming SJC Consulting, Sue worked for KPMG as an Executive  Management Consultant providing her HR/Organisational development experience to mainly large corporate blue-chip clients, primarily in the Financial Services sector.  She also designed and implemented the assessment centre process for recruiting KMPG accredited Associates onto the KMPG Associate Academy.

Before joining KPMG, Sue worked for NatWest Group where she has held a number of senior HR roles working on areas surrounding the psychological contract with staff. Her areas of expertise covered employment policy, practice and strategy including an understanding of general HR risk management and control systems.  She was involved in major organisational development and change programmes which included the organisational restructuring and subsequent downsizing of NatWest Head Office during 1999.
